since i can't sleep, i might as well analyse something...
have you seen this yet?
my train of reasoning will be as follows.
- split screens are very effective tools to depict multi angles to a story, usually incidents that goes on at the same time in different location.
- the staircase on the btm left is perfect to bring up the creep factor.
- 3 vivid incidents when "something" appeared in the lift before the guys entered and just before they entered the lift. also take note on the artifacts introduced in the same screen after the guys entered the lift, 2 in all.
- a setting of late at night, perfect for those when u are alone kind of scenes (it immediately makes use of our natural instinct of fear of being alone at such a location). do note when the guys are entering the lift a man appears in the top left screen, just a distraction (something about split screens are how it also allows your mind to easily lose focus, or to concentrate your focus on something else and not notice other details).
- in order for cctv to catch an image, light needs to be bounced off something. ie, unlike the human eye where an image can be formed by imagination or hallucination, a cctv can only record light that is bounced off an object. therefore the granny has to be manifested in some form in order for light to be bounced of her. this should explain the hazy shadow as the granny leaves. but makes you wonder why the guys never noticed, or better yet, if light bounces off from the granny to the cctv, why isn't any light bounced off to the wall (ie granny reflection, do note the guys do have some reflection to the walls)? doesn't matter.
- the cctv clearly captures the hazy glow of the granny. the building must have installed very high tech cctv. that can clearly capture such details but, still leaves the 2 guys faces mostly obscure. by the way i am in the opinion that the granny is also relatively quite clear. or at least very sharp.
- assuming that the cctv captures a magnetic or electromagnetic disturbance, ie something that affects the imaging sensor into thinking it is capturing light reflected from an object, the lack of magnetic disturbance when the granny is in the image is quite... wierd to say the least. because before she appeared, there were some form of disturbance to the image, which seems more like an electromagnetic disturbance of some sort, rather than some sort of physical malfunction. the slight glow on the granny, should be some kind of electrical discharge too, yet the discharge although strong enough to be detected by the cctv sensors, is not strong enough to produce other disturbance to the cctv camera. double wierd.
- the top right cctv camera, just feels kinda weird. i find it hard to imagine how low, the ceiling of the lift lobby is like. when the 2 guys entered the frame, the relative distance of the cctv and the heads of the guys were so close. either the lift lobby ceiling is so low. or the camera is shy of at least 2 metres high (typical height of office buildings floor to ceiling). at the far end of the lobby, you can roughly gauge that the ceiling is very much higher up from 2 metres.
