safari 3.1 and a little apple a day

Safari 3.1 and iTunes on my pc

but, the fact that it uses so much of memory resource... i'm not sure if that's a good thing. especially if compared to firefox which uses 1/4 of that amount of resource.

Safari is a memory hog?

and to verify my suspicion, i fired up ie7, safari, and firefox. loaded up all the same pages. typical user kind of websites. youtube, search portal, google, online forum, hardwarezone, facebook etc, and the results are pretty much self explanatory.

Comparing Safari IE7 and Firefox

so why should i make safari my default browser?

well i don't think i would. it doesn't offer me the ease of use like firefox. but when it comes to online banking, i have to use ie7 for dbs/posb, since firefox and safari can't seem to open dbs/posb online banking page. (firefox can't open dbs/posb, uob, fairpriceplus so i don't use it for internet banking) but at least safari opens up ntuc's fairpriceplus online banking (since ie7 hangs whenever i try it). well at least that's the short term solution.

crap. why can't everyone just make it easier for us to access websites from any browser in the first place.

on the other hand... safari does look nice... but i think i still prefer firefox as there's more plugins that i use every day (like google sync for firefox)
